Started at 48. Multiple golds since.

“Wrestling is the hardest mental sport there is. If you can survive that, you can survive anything.”

Alex’s mat time began in high-school wrestling, where he learned that anything worth having asks for the work nobody sees.

He started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at 48. Instead of looking for an easier route, he committed to the learning curve. Multiple gold medals at IBJJF and JJWL tournaments followed, earned one class, one round and one tap at a time.

For Alex, the raised hand is not a finish line. It is proof of everything that came before it.
